DEAR PATRONS: We have recently joined the Duke University Merchants on Points program. As a result of this, we are inundated with phone calls for delivery in addition to our regular customers. We understand this causes a bit of inconvenience. For our faithful customers that come in store, we apologize that our delivery service sometimes causes longer wait times, but we appreciate your patience. We do regret that those accustomed to calling in orders are having difficulty. However, the changing economy has forced us to change our business plan to include delivery. We appreciate your patronage and hope you continue to support Chai's. FOR DUKE STUDENTS ORDERING ON POINTS: We understand your frustration with having difficulty getting through the phone line. We assure you that we are taking as many orders as possible. If you get a busy signal or the phone keeps ringing(in case of call waiting), please keep trying. We are not ignoring the phones or your calls. There is nothing more we would like to do than deliver food to everyone quickly and with the highest quality. However, there are only so many meals we can provide during our business hours. Currently, during our three and a half hour delivery window, we provide one out of every six deliveries on points out of eighteen plus merchants. We appreciate your understanding of our situation and your continued business. Thank you.
